I have been playing for a few weeks and have learned some good lessons.
1. If you field the most powerful figure, it will go down first. For example, Superboy Prime was played Saturday in a four player game. I think he took a Clix down, but he went down quick, I think my Tabapp Thor took him down.
2. Know your freakin' cards. I'm new and have not memorized my cards and all the assorted powers and abilities. If I had, the Tabapp Wolverine may have won the match for me. He has two regeneration clicks...but I missed where it said if damages turn to the regeneration click, stop on that click. I used the first click, but the last click of regen is Wolvies last click. I took damage and didn't stop on the click like I was supposed to.
3. One click with flurry and blades, claws and fangs is awesome. Using my Tab App Wolverine, I did 8 clicks of damage to some uber Lex Luthor. Bye bye, uber Lex Luthor!
4. When you play against interesting Clix, and wikipedia them, be prepared to learn stuff you can't forget. Superboy Prime, punching reality? Wow.
5. If you have a 100% chance of buying two boosters and getting a Chase,do it! After the game, we were all talking about the hobby, and the Teen Titans boosters were discussed. One of the guys stated he and a friend had bought all the boosters except four in the case and they had not pulled a Chase. The guy that had played Superboy Prime said he would take a 50% chance of getting a chase. He bought two boosters and didn't get the chase. So I grabbed the remaining two (the other two guys didn't want a shot) and got Headcase!
I tried to explain it to my wife, got a lot of eye rolls
